James Zabiela Plays Cameo Friday

When we first heard of James Zabiela, it was Winter Music Conference 2007,and he was playing alongside Nic Fanciulli at a sold-out event in South Beach. Never before have we seen hundreds and hundreds of bodies stand outside the velvet rope anxiously awaiting the arrival of one man behind the decks. Obviously, this happens a lot, but that year Zabiela had the kind of buzz surrounding his sound that Deadmau5 received a year later.

Now he's one of the most recognized names in electronic dance music, and definitely a fan favorite in Miami. This Friday night he returns to South Beach to play a Washington Avenue venue that's ready for the crowd to flow in.

Cameo nightclub's weekly Digital Fridays welcomes in James Zabiela this Friday night, for a highlighted event this Thanksgiving weekend in Miami.  Christian Falero will definitely have to bring in his best warm-up set yet, because once Zabiela takes over there's nothing comparable. The last set of James' we caught was more along the acid-house lines, but he always puts a unique twist on it that elevates the energy in the room. It also helps that he's no dud in the booth. There's nothing worse than having a DJ try to get the crowd going, when they look like a vegetable in the booth.
