LIV Takes Miami Nightlife to New Level

LIV Takes Miami Nightlife to New Level

In Miami, nightlife has always been about the clubs. Not the bars or the lounges, but the clubs. What sets apart the clubs in Miami from other markets in the nation? That would have to be the climate and the music (it's also not bad having the Atlantic Ocean as your backyard). But don't think that success in Miami nightlife is as easy as having the cojones to open up a club in South Beach, there's a lot more at play. If there's one characteristic that a club needs to have in order to maintain itself at a successful level, it's their music formatting.

Everyone knows that DJs rule the club in Miami, but rather than booking locals every weekend, if you're able to draw a big name to your club, the people will come. We've seen it with names like Space, Mansion, SET and Cameo over the years. But there's recently been a strong resurgence of bookings coming from one nightclub in South Beach that's considered one of the most popular nightlife venues in the nation.

As of late, LIV has been making moves and booking some of the biggest and hottest DJs in world. Names like Erick Morillo, Laidback Luke, Tiesto and the Swedish House Mafia boys have been in town to play the colossal club. But it doesn't look like they're going to be slowing down any time soon seeing as Luciano, DJ Ruckus, LMFAO and Steve Angello play the club in the next month. It's not easy nor cheap to bring in names like these to your club on a consistent basis, but when the establishment caters to the artist like LIV does, it's definitely to be expected.

Lets not forget that the latest addition to the growing Miami nightlife scene is located at the Fontainebleau as well, Arkadia. In it's short time open it's already managed to bring in the likes of Drake and The Martinez Brothers as well as attract Lebron James, Ed Norton and Alex Rodriguez to the venue. But there's no competition between these two nor will there be. Parties are always planned strategically with the talent, so that each offers something different to the growing audience.

While the Fontainebleau may be one of the most popular stays in Miami, what lies inside is what really draws a good portion of the attention. LIV may not be located on Washington Avenue, like many other clubs in South Beach, but locals and visitors don't mind heading a bit farther out in South Beach to catch their parties.

What's this mean for Miami nightlife? Bigger and better names are to come. There are already a series of videos released by the club on YouTube that show the magnitude of their event productions (just like the one below). Whether it's names in electronic music or the pop and hip-hop world, it looks like LIV will stop at nothing to be the best and deliver top-notch entertainment to a city that appreciates its music.
