Best Clubs in the Best Cities

by Samantha Sherlock

There are so many different nightclubs across the U.S., making it hard to pick which ones you should check out tonight. It’s not a problem, especially if you have this handy list of the five hottest clubs in the five hottest markets in the U.S.

The Estate – Boston
Located in the Alley in the Theater District, The Estate is a multi-level venue that has an elegant atmosphere. There’s an oversized fireplace, multiple sparkling chandeliers, and full-length mirrors throughout the club. Also, if you are looking to kick back with a few drinks there are plush leather couches in intimate seating areas that are perfect for a large group. There will definitely be crowds outside The Estate’s doors – the best way to guarantee a quick entry is to reserve a table and look fashionable.

As far as nightlife couture goes, T-shirts and ripped jeans aren’t going to cut it at this Boston hot spot. You can dance all night long on their massive floor as world renown DJs take care of the sounds throughout the night. The Estate is open Thursday through Sunday from 10PM to 2AM – get there before the line wraps around the block!

LIV – Miami
At Fontainebleau Miami Beach lies the ultra exclusive, high-energy nightclub – LIV. This quintessential nightspot has over 18,000 square feet of striking architectural design and lavish décor. LIV has a voyeuristic design throughout the club – allowing patrons to see the entire venue from almost every point in the room. LIV has a main dance floor and three full-service bars. You can also have your own VIP table or private skybox.

The DJ can be heard spinning house music, as well as some Top 40. LIV can be a little expensive, but always well worth it. Quickly becoming one of the most popular nightclubs in North America, there’s a very strict door so make sure you’re dressed to impress and ready to party! LIV is open Wednesday and Friday through Sunday until the sun starts to creep up on South Beach.

Webster Hall – New York City
Today, Webster Hall stands tall as New York City’s largest and longest-running nightclub. Since opening in 1886, Webster Hall has been a gathering place for NYC natives and visitors for 137 years. Webster Hall has five unique dance floors – The Grand Ballroom (which is the “mother of all dance floors”), the Marlin Room, the Studio, the Balcony Lounge, and the Green Room. Each floor has a different style of music and dance.

Throughout the five floors there are also stilt walkers, trapeze artists, tarot readers, fire breathers, go-go girls, and so much more. In 2009, Webster Hall was named one of Nightclub & Bar’s top 100 largest and most successful nightclubs, bars, and lounges in the U.S. For admission into Webster Hall you only need to be 19, but 21 to drink. Webster Hall likes their guests to be neat and trendy – so dress to impress.

TAO – Las Vegas
If you happen to be visiting the Venetian in Las Vegas make sure you pay a special visit to TAO Nightclub. TAO was named after its New York City sister club. This amazing venue is a perfect mixture of oriental design with a taste of the city. The décor includes rock gardens, candles, and statues. The most amazing element at TAO is their golden tub filled with flowers. TAO is the hottest spot for A-list celebrities to hang out on a Saturday night.

The general public and VIP guests are allowed upstairs with celebs, so be prepared to possibly rub elbows with the likes of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian. Some of the best DJs in Vegas spin at TAO. From hip-hop to house music, you won’t get off the dance floor. Because TAO has a very upscale crowd they want their guests to look outstanding. Therefore, those who come in business attire tend to do well. However, those sporting ripped jeans and a tank top tend to see the sidewalk.

Avalon Hollywood – Los Angeles
Formerly known as the historic Palace Theater, Avalon Hollywood is ideal for live concerts, award shows, film shoots, fashion shows, and film screenings. The intimate atmosphere and eclectic art work on the walls brings back the experience of classic old Hollywood.

Now, this megaclub has a main floor, three bars, a smoker-friendly patio, and an upper balcony with additional opera box seating. The DJ can be heard spinning house and techno music throughout the entire venue. If you want a piece of throwback Hollywood, Avalon is the place to be seen!
