The Summer 2011 Debut of IDENTITY

by Samantha Sherlock

This summer electronic music is taking over. In August and September, Identity, the first-ever electronic only music festival will make its debut. This highly anticipated music festival will come to major outdoor ampitheaters throughout North America. There are 20 shows already schedueled with top-tier artists performing on multiple stages beginning in the afternoon and going straight into the night.

Identity is set to feature some of the hottest, cutting-edge artists of electronic music. So far the line-up includes Kaskade, Pretty Lights, Rusko, Avicii, Steve Aoki, Disco Biscuits, DJ Shadow, Skillrex, Pete Tong, Chuckie, Booka Shade, Modeselektor, The Crystal Method, Holy Ghost!, Nero, Datsik, Erol Alkan, Chad Hugo (N.E.R.D.), Aeroplane, LA Riots, Doorly, Nervo, White Shadow, Jessie and The Toy Boys, and The Eye. More acts will be announced when the festival dates get closer.

Identity has formed a unique relationship with Beatport -- the world's largest music store for DJs -- in order to connect the fans with the growing popularity of the artists' music. Beatport's music collection is refreshed with hundreds of exclusive tracks by the world's top dance music artists.

The festival's tour begins on August 11th in Indianapolis. The cities to hold Identity this summer are Detroit, Pittsburgh, New Jersey, Charlotte, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Albuquerque, San Diego, San Francisco, Orange County, Las Vegas, and Seattle.

If Identity is coming to a city near you then, get your ticket now! There is no way you will want to miss the debut of this electronic music series.
