Borgore Comes to Fillmore

Dubstep came out of nowhere and quickly became the new electro. Hate to say we told you so, but electro went in and out of style as quick as the fanny pack. Then came dubstep to save the day for all those hipster kids who were used to getting jacked up in the clubs by Justice and MSTRKRFT tracks. Sure, MSTRKRFT is looking to make a comeback in the near future, and we're excited to see what they bring to the table, but electro's lost the grittiness and underground appeal that it once wore as a badge. Dubstep's now the main attraction, and is continuing to gain steam in Miami. This month the dubstep series that calls the Fillmore home once a month brings in yet another stellar DJ to supply sounds to the rowdy crowd.

On Friday, June 17th, the Fillmore and Embrace once again team up to present their monthly Honeymoon with special guest Borgore taking care of the music along with Caligula. So far the turnout at the Fillmore for these events have been pretty steady, but only time will tell if they'll stick around any longer.

With nights like SHAKE! at The Vagabond, there's definitely some competition in the dubstep world in Miami. We never thought that someone would step up to the Fillmore as attempt a monthly, but Embrace is doing a decent job considering the size of the venue.
