Tonight, Electronic King Stacey Pullen Comes to Miami!

by Sarah Josephs

After a knockout performance with Loco Dice at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival last weekend, Stacey Pullen will be heading down to Miami to play at the Electric Pickle tonight, June 9th. Playing alongside him will be Nervous/Pacha Ibiza’s DJ Jonathan Cowen, leader of the Florida underground scene, and Miami’s own DJ Gabriel Alexander. The Electric Pickle is known for featuring a wide range of artists and music, and bringing together Pullen, Cowan, and Alexander will definitely blow the roof off of this venue.

As the household name of Detroit techno, Pullen uses turntables, effects, and techno beats to create sounds that are tribal and spiritual, while keeping up a serious energy level.

Growing up during the pinnacle of the Detroit techno scene and learning under Detroit’s top names in electronic music, Pullen’s fresh and original sound was cultivated at a young age, and gave way to his ultimate changing of the face of Detroit techno.

After finally releasing his first track, "Silent Phase," in the early 90‘s, Pullen began to dominate the electronic music scene, both in the US and abroad.

For almost two decades Pullen has travelled across continents spinning his music and even mentoring up-and-coming musicians, and still remains one of the world’s most in demand DJ’s.

Detroit is clearly his home-base, but we couldn’t be happier about his trip to Miami tonight. And even more enticing, Pullen will be accompanied by DJ Jonathan Cowan of Pacha Ibiza and Nervous, as well as Miami’s own DJ Gabriel Alexander. With the event being hosted by Ramon Crespo and Benjamin Acero, hit the Electric Pickle tonight for a great way to kick off your weekend.
