And the winner is...

A few weeks ago, Miami's very own Oscar G won the coveted 'Best Resident DJ' prize at the 2007 Club World Awards, for his residency at the legendary Space in Downtown Miami. The Club World Awards are held every year during Winter Music Conference.

Previously having won the award in 2003, Oscar was treated to a special surprise for this year's winning, with the legendary Danny Tenaglia presenting the award. "Having Danny present the award made it that much sweeter and enjoyable for me," says Oscar. "He is a mentor and friend, and has taught me more than he will ever know. I've been listening to him for almost 20 years, so it was quite an honor. It means a lot to me because I truly appreciate my Space residency, I am fortunate to have a place that allows me to do my thing, all night, every week, at home!"

Space owner Louis Puig got to the point and commented, "Three words, Best. Resident. Ever."

Oscar also holds down a monthly residency at Pacha in New York City, as well as playing around the world on a regular basis.

Oscar will be playing at Space (which was awarded Best Dance Club and Best Afterhours Club by the Miami Herald) this weekend in celebration of the award.Click here for more information on this event.
