Art Miami After Party @ Mansion

This Saturday saw legendary Miami promoter Michael Capponi hosting an after party for the Art Miami show at Mansion.

The scene outside Mansion was, as usual for a weekend at the club, fairly crazy as hundreds of Miami clubbers thronged around the door hoping to gain entrance to what has become the center of upscale clubbing on the beach.

Approaching its first anniversary, the Opium Group operated venue has defied expectations and managed to cement its place as one of South Beach's leading venues.

When Opium Garden bought the former Level space early in 2004, it was widely believed that the move spelled the end for Opium Garden, based on the ongoing dispute with the City of Miami Beach over noise issues.

Few people 'in the know' expected all three venues to stay open, however Opium and Privé have continued to thrive while Mansion has attracted both Miami's big spenders and the international celebs necessary to create a buzz.

Following an extensive remodel, Mansion opened to the public at WMC2004 with a stellar lineup including Sasha and Digweed and The Chemical Brothers, and within its first week saw tens of thousands of clubbers through the doors.

Since then the club has welcomed numerous A-List guests, however it was the production which took center stage on Saturday, as the team behind the scenes put on an impressive AV show.

As Cedric Gervais's production partner DJ Pedro held court on the main room decks with a selection of mainstream house, the numerous video screens around the venue showed snippets of video to match the music, and even Michael Jackson made an on-screen appearance to accompany a Jackson remix being played.

Add in a laser show, top of the range lighting and of course a very attractive crowd to the mix, and what Mansion has to offer is exactly what it says on the Miami packet - beautiful people, a steamy atmosphere and fun music.

Miami has a wealth of choices when it comes to nightlife - from underground music nights to live Jazz to internationally renowned DJ's, but when it comes to one of those nights where you need to impress, Mansion is currently the place to be... Whether you can afford a bottle of Perriér-Jouet or not.
