Following a busy few weeks on 11th St, Envy announced last week that popular local DJ Bruno would return to their 'House Factory' Friday afterhours party.
Alongside Nelson Diaz, Bruno had built a strong local following during 2004 with his Friday appearances at Envy, which prompted Space to invite him down the block in late August to front their new Friday afterhours.
However it seems that arrangement didn't work out as after only a few weeks Envy announced that Bruno would 'return home' to House Factory, a fact first announced by our own club legend Saleen351 on the CJ message boards.
"We're really excited to have the House Factory team back at NV, and to continue our successful Friday afterhours," said Envy owner Luis Francisco, who in recent months has also managed to secure the services of Danny Tenaglia for a series of events.
Those sentiments were echoed by Bruno who says he's "looking forward to returning" to the venue with which he became synonymous over the last year.
Downtown clubbing is a notoriously risky business to get into, with Fuel, Living Room Downtown, The Beach, Rio, Skky Lounge and others all falling by the wayside over the last few years.
However with strong new venues such as Players bar / restaurant and Nocturnal nightclub opening on 11th St, and the City of Miami supporting efforts to turn the area into an entertainment district, it seems that the block known as 'Park West' may become even more of a nightlife stronghold in years to come.
Envy will certainly be hoping so, but for now they're just happy to have the prodigal son back in the family...
