CD Release Party to celebrate highly anticipated new Dance Compilation tilted "Amika"

AMIKA, the internationally renowned south beach nightclub will be hosting it’s first CD release party celebrating the launch of it’s first self titled dance compilation “AMIKA”.

The brainchild project of DJ and AMIKA resident Shawn Rudnick showcases the very finest in dance and electronic music with artists such as Michael Gray, Kings of Tommorrow, Nic Fanciulli, Dr. Kucho, and many more. The compilation, which includes songs like ‘The Weekend,’ ‘Thru,’ ‘Got To Release,’ and ‘Talks Like a Stranger’ is a free flowing journey of sound that takes you through an exciting example of the up-tempo sounds played at the venue. Shawn Rudnick and Juan Andres tapped renown producers and DJ’s to compile and mix an impressive mix of eclectic tracks.

Shawn Rudnick has definitely come into his own with “AMIKA”. Acclaimed as one of the best house music DJ’s to come out of Miami, Rudnick has played along with Grammy award winners Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Roger Sanchez, also Todd Terry, Tony Humphries, Erick Morillo, Farly & Heller, Deep Dish and a long list of big names in the industry.

Shawn also collaborated with DJ superstar Tracy Young in two major productions, the first one for Gloria Estefan’s “Wrapped” (Sony Music) which was simultaneously released in both languages in all major markets; and Madonna’s “Nothing Fails” (Maverick/Warner).

“The release of the Amika compilation solidifies AMIKA as a presence in the global nightlife scene” says Tony Guerra, AMIKA partner/owner. “I believe that the tracks on the compilation truly represent the sound and the atmosphere we are trying to create every Friday night at AMIKA”.

The Winter Music Conference 2005 placed AMIKA on the international dance scene. Hosting parties with huge European labels such as Defected Records UK, the AMIKA Winter Music Conference bill was extremely impressive.
