Space owner Louis Puig today announced that Space's sister venue 'Spin' will return for WMC2005.

Relocated from its original Lincoln Road location, where State now stands, Spin will be reborn at 1439 Washington Avenue - the address of the original Liquid nightclub, across the street from Crobar.

Spin operated successfully during 2002 and early 2003 before effectively closing in Feb 2003, although the club continued to operate under different management for a brief and unsuccessful period as 'Spi'.

Now due to the overwhelming amount of DJ's and promoters wishing to work with the Space team during WMC, LP has decided to reopen Spin and rejuvenate the space which during the late 90's was the center of Miami nightlife.

"The great characteristic about this room is that it is very similar to the prevous Club Space Main Room. In fact you could say that they were twins," says LP.

The venue boasts a tight sounding EAW sound system as well as state of the art lighting, and veteran Miami clubbers will no doubt reminisce fondly about hedonistic nights spent there in the Chris Paciello and Ingrid Casares days, the club teeming with celebrities.

Spin will be managed and promoted by the existing Space team, who will also handle all bookings and events.

News of the opening will no doubt prompt a wave of event offers, as the club has seen nearly every world class DJ there at some point, and has the perfect layout for house events.

Add Space's considerable weight in the word of DJ bookings to the mix and you have a very exciting WMC prospect.

Last year's Space WMC lineup boasted an embarrasment of riches, as DJ's who would normally headline the club were reduced to an hour or two in a secondary room. It appears that this move will allow the team to spread the talent further and offer an even wider variety of events.
