New Year’s Eve 2009 is only days away and the culmination of the hard work of many nightlife and entertainment industry workers is finally drawing to a close. The 31st of December is arguably the greatest party night of the year. Everyone sends off the previous year and welcomes in the new one with a hangover on the first day of the New Year and promises to shed those extra few pounds.

The residents of this great haven of partying are truly blessed to be a part of the many events that are taking place all over the city. While others in the nation celebrate New Year’s by pulling the tiny strings of their party poppers at the stroke of midnight, locals in Miami have a different take, some taking the party until the PM the following day. To be on the safest side, instead of party hopping on a night where the 5-0 are dying to catch anyone’s slip-ups, CoolJunkie has narrowed down the list to the top 11 parties that the Junkies are looking forward to. Not to say that the rest of the parties are less than stellar, but these 11 should definitely be on everyone’s radar.

Event : Shore Club and Tenjune Present New Years Eve
Venue: The Shore Club

The Shore Club could be quite possibly one of the best looking venues in the city. For this big night they’re bringing in some big names; Busta Rhymes, Ron Browz and Pras? This party’s definitely gonna’ to be banging all night and morning.

Event : Simply Fabulous
Venue: Cameo Nightclub

So for this year’s NYE 2009, Cameo’s teamed up with the Junkie’s and JetBlue to bring you Simply Fabulous. While the CJ and JetBlue affair’s held in Vice, the entire club will be going off. With a PREMIUM open bar from 9PM to 3AM. Nuff’ said.

Event : The Art of Celebration
Venue: LIV

LIV really wanted to get its party some attention, so who better to get as a host than Sean Diddy Combs. Ever since the Fountainebleau venue opened its doors they’ve been bringing in top-notch hosts. Once again they’ve delivered.

Event : The Vagabond New Year’s 2009
Venue: The Vagabond

If you wanna step away from the whole ‘ticket-only’ exclusive events, there’s always the good ol’ Vagabond. Everyone’s favorite residents will be in full-affect Wednesday night and even the Bamby Kittens will be up to no good while Afrobeta kick things up live.

Event : Flyin' Into 2009
Venue: Space

A lot of people have been waiting for this one all year long. The ultimate EDM venue ‘Flys’ into 2009 with residents Oscar G, Cedric Gervais, Patrick M and many more. This place is set to close up shop at 4PM. A new definition of afterhours.

Event : Victoria's Secret’s Anne V and sounds by Miss Nine at SET NYE
Venue: SET

What does Miami’s hottest nightlife venue bring to the table when it comes to NYE 2009? Sexy women of course. With Victoria’s Secret’s Anne V hosting the event, and the beautiful Miss Nine supplying all the sound, you just can’t go wrong.

Event : Ying Yang Twins NYE 2009
Venue: SoBe Live

If it’s a solid rap party that you’re looking for, this is the best one around. The Ying Yang Twins will be taking over the Dynacord system at SoBe Live for what’s set to be a slammin’ event sponsored by Courvoisier. This one might as well be sold out.

Event : Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson at Mansion NYE
Venue: Mansion

Mansion brings in the one and only Lindsay Lohan to host Wednesdays big night. Not only that, they’ve also brought in her leading lady, Samantha Ronson, to provide all the sound for that night. Something tells me it’s going to be interesting.

Event : Champagne Fireworks Cruise
Venue: Voyage Ultra Lounge

Here’s the perfect alternative way to spend NYE 2009. Taking off from Voyage Ultra Lounge at 10PM, guests will have the chance at sending off 2008 at sea. On the way back, they also get to enjoy the party going off at the riverside venue.

Event : Gansevoort New Year’s Eve
Venue: The Gansevoort

The Gansevoort is definitely the best of the best. For New Year’s Eve they have Chloe Sevigny hosting the event and a special performance by T.I. The event will surely be a packed house, but the all night open bar is what will steal the show.

Event : Blade’s NYE 2009
Venue: Blade

Molly Sims is hosting the event… do you need another reason??? Maybe it’s because we’re big…um…fans here at CJ, but with her hosting the event and Ross One supplying all the sound, it’s extremely hard to pass up on something like this.
