Hey everyone!
Almost always, South Beach is full of out-of-towners indulging in everything from shopping to eating to dancing and drinking till sun up. With last weeks Labor Day craze, I decided to take some time out and do some indulging myself.
I chose to go out on a Wednesday night where there are more places open than some would think. I found a few, some new, and old spots that everyone should visit at least once.
For a late night bite and cocktails, we headed to Segafredo’s Café. Apparently, this is a major hotspot for locals and pre-clubbers. It was my first time there on Wednesday and boy have I been missing out on something.

| Drinks at Segafredo’s | |
The cocktail menu is a long list of delicious flavors and blends of juices that make up an elaborate list of drinks. I tried a fruity caipirinha and the apple pie martini. Both were really delish, but the price made it a little more delicious. They were $8.50 each and as a matter of fact, all the drinks were $8.50. So if you are ever in the area, Segafredo at 1040 Lincoln Road is just right.
If you ever find yourself hungry on Lincoln, there are lots of places to choose from. One place that is tucked away from the main street is Ice Box. This not so new restaurant is located on Michigan Avenue, north of Lincoln. The prices are decent, the meals are pretty big and the style is very modern. But if you don’t want to commit to a dinner, it’s a great place to leave the guilt at the door and enjoy one of their many specialty desserts with a cup of coffee or tea.
Another spot on Michigan, this time south of Lincoln, is the very modern Halo Lounge with big windows where you can look in at all the pretty boys and girls mingling and sipping on specialty drinks, like Dark & Stormy. That one is a blend of 10 Cane Rum, ginger, sugar and a lime wedge to top it off. Now this one is for my gays (boys or girls) so come out and mingle. But by what I saw on Thursday, they are doing well. The place was wall to wall and the music that blared out was good.

| Red Room at Base Annex |
|
Now for shopping on The Road, you must check out Base Annex. This place is hidden in the back of 927 Lincoln in suite 118. If you don’t look for it, you will pass it. The space is like walking into a gallery of stuff. There is the Black Room, the White Room, the Red Room, the Pattern Room, the Log Cabin, and a couple more. Perfectly organized and styled, this place is like a candy store for shoppers.
This is the place where you can find some lavish gifts for those who have an edgy taste. Tobias Wong Chandeliers, a little under five thousand or Thomas Paul Paper notebooks at twenty three dollars for a set of three. There is something for everyone. And even if you don’t shop, go look just to get inspired and redesign your home.
I encourage all of you who live here to take time out and do the same. The beaches are nice, the shopping is great, the clubs are wild, and the food is – well really good.
And for you clubbers, I didn’t forget you. The end of the month has something special in store. At Suite, DJ Behrouz returns from his Ibiza Summer Tour. THIS is the event to be at. It’s Saturday, September 29th. What to expect besides the sexy Miami people, the hot music and a great venue? One of the best parties this month! Tickets are now available here.
If you are ever in need of anything, just check us out here on CoolJunkie for new places and if you want to suggest something, send it to me and I will make sure it’s on the list!
