For most people, Halloween serves as a time to dress up in a costume and hit a few parties… house parties that is. For residents in Miami, things are a little different. With some of the best nightlife venues in the nation, the city offers up an intense variety of Halloween events, so if you’re not the type to bounce around, it’s best to choose carefully. Clubs redecorate, host costume competitions and bring in special talent for this annual event. That’s why here at CoolJunkie we’ve compiled a list of some of the best parties that Halloween weekend has to offer to narrow down your decision. If you really want some good advice, we suggest bouncing around until you find something that works. Apart from everything else the holiday has to offer, there’s far too much going on to stick to just one place.
Friday, October 31st

Event : Fridays at The Vagabond Halloween Spectacular
Venue: The Vagabond
What to expect: If there’s something that The Vagabond’s good at it’s putting on a killer event where the details are key. Expect the venue to be decked out and be sure not to miss The Most Interesting Show in The World hosted by Jim Rose. Definitely one of a kind.

Event : Haunted with Chromeo
Venue: Heathrow Lounge
What to expect:Considering the crowd that Chromeo pulled in last time they were in Miami, expect a packed house. Although it’s only a DJ set, these guys are sure to provide some tracks to get the many dressed up bodies in attendance moving.

Event : The Official Halloween 944 Party
Venue: Voyage Ultra Lounge
What to expect: Since breaking out onto the Miami nightlife scene, Voyage has been producing some pretty impressive events. This week they host the Official 944 Halloween party, expect beautiful people and a bigger crowd more colorful crowd this week.

Event : Freak Friday
Venue: Cameo Nightclub
What to expect: Flash Fridays come in the form of ‘Freak Friday’ this week. Miami’s premier hip hop DJ, Irie, will be on the ones and twos as per, but it’s the costume competition giving away $2500 in cash and prizes that’s the kicker.

Event : Nightmares at Dream
Venue: Dream Nightclub
What to expect: Dream brings in New York based DJ Jonathan Peters to mix things up on Halloween night. Armand Peña is gonna kick things off, before Peters, who’s apparently voted the #1 DJ in America, takes over to supply some prog house.

Event : Tommy Lee and DJ Aero
Venue: Karu & Y Ultra Lounge
What to expect: Quite possibly one of the oddest duos in music, Tommy Lee and DJ Aero, host Halloween night at Karu & Y Ultra Lounge. Not sure what to think about this one, but lately Karu & Y has been bringing in A-list hosts. Let’s give them the benefit of the doubt.

Event : Halloween Infernum
Venue: BED
What to expect: It looks like BED is going to switch things up a little for the décor this week. They’re transforming the venue into the ‘devil’s den’ while DJ Airtime supplies all the sound. The set-up in the venue provides a lot of room for creativity, so this may be the best looking venue of the night.
Saturday, November 1st

Event : Viva North American Tour
Venue: Mansion
What to expect: Although this isn’t set up like your other typical Halloween parties of the weekend, if you’ve ever heard a set from Steve Lawler then you know what you’re in for. The Viva North American tour stops at Mansion this Saturday, and trust the Junkies on this one… don’t miss it!

Event : Space Halloween Party
Venue: Space
What to expect: For the many faithful that frequent Space every weekend this is the event that they’ve been waiting for all month long. The Junkies are curious to see what they have in store for the main room that’s already dark enough. Oscar G is sure to light things up with his dark musical play.

Event : The Parkwest Mansion
Venue: Parkwest Nightclub
What to expect: There’s no need to wait until Sunday morning for a great afterhours event. Saturday morning Parkwest transforms itself into the ‘Parkwest Mansion’ and kicks off the party at 4AM with a marathon of bloody beats by Boris. This is a great opportunity to sport the costume all through the night.

Event : Hidden Dragon ‘Asia’
Venue: Aero Bar
What to expect: As part of their ‘One Planet One Kingdom’ Halloween weekend, Aero Bar takes their theme to Asia Saturday night with ‘Hidden Dragon’. Expect some Chinese New Year looking décor at the posh venue, but there could be a surprise in the work as far as the DJ goes.
Sunday, November 2nd

Event : Terror on The Terrace
Venue: Space Terrace
What to expect: As far as Sunday mornings go, there’s no better party than at the Space Terrace. It’s always the same combo that never fails to miss: the main room with Oscar G, then up to the Terrace to party until the sun comes up. This week it’s ‘Terror on the Terrace’ with Chus and Patrick M.
