Miami's Best Thanksgiving Weekend Parties

Thanksgiving; a day to sit down with people you love, and sometimes hate, and dig into to massive calorie filled platters and endless amounts of booze that will get you saying things to your family that you never imagined you would. But what do most locals think of the holiday? Is it really about the food? Only for Thursday night, while the rest of the days are soaked in as a mini-vacation that gives the opportunity for one and all to finally forget about the next day’s nine to five and wander the streets of Downtown Miami or South Beach. That’s exactly why CoolJunkie has put together a nice collection of events that everyone should look out for this Thanksgiving Weekend. From Guetta doing afterhours at the Terrace, to Lazaro Casanova and Jay-You at The Vagabond, this weekend’s pretty stocked with entertainment.

Wednesday, November 26th

Event : Wild Turkey
Venue: Cameo Nightclub

What to expect: Cameo kicks off the holiday festivities on Wednesday with their Thanksgiving Eve bash, Wild Turkey, sponsored by none other than Dewar’s 12. Nothing better than that on the rocks. Be sure to get there early because this one’s probably gonna be sold-out.

Event : 6 Hours of Pure Behrouz
Venue: Mokaï

What to expect: Biz Martinez is at it again, teaming up with Mokaï and bringing in NY’s Behrouz for a non-stop 6 hour medley of his tracks. As we all know Mokaï is always packed, so expect the same from this Thanksgiving Eve affair.

Event : Paul Oakenfold
Venue: Mansion

What to expect: After what’s sure to be a sold-out crowd at Dolphin Stadium Wednesday night, Paul Oakenfold will head straight from the Madonna concert and into the club as he takes over Mansion for a special live set. This is one of electronic music’s great, so don’t miss it.

Thursday, November 27th

The typical weeklies are showing up, but I don’t think the crowd will be coming out in the droves. Also remember, cops seems to love to bust up everyone’s holiday, so party with care on this night. Eat, drink, and be merry people. This day should be dedicated to the family and close friends. There’s plenty to do the rest of the weekend.

Friday, November 28th

Event : Casa d’Amor
Venue: Aero Bar

What to expect: Aero Bar’s weekly Friday night party has definitely been eventful lately. This week they change things up a bit with a ‘Black Out Party.’ The deal is, wear black. The flyer says it’s recommended, but that basically means don’t be the ass wearing white.

Event : Miss Nine
Venue: SET

What to expect: SET brings in Miss Nine this Saturday night. This is a bit of a change of pace for the guys. Now they have a beautiful woman supplying all the sounds. If her music doesn’t make the cut for the crowd, then the looks will definitely be up to par.

Friday, November 28

Event : David Guetta
Venue: LIV Nightclub

What to expect: With the grand opening of the Fontainebleau last week, and a very special show by the most beautiful women in the world, the Fontainebleau decided to open up their new exclusive LIV Nightclub. This Friday marks the start of their bookings with David Guetta. Not bad.

Event : 2008 Thanksgiving Pool and Beach Party
Venue: Surfcomber Hotel

What to expect: Vice Ventures and Space Miami present the 2008 Thanksgiving Pool and Beach Party at the Surfcomber Hotel with a hell of a roster from Erick Morillo to Oscar G. This is probably the biggest event that the weekend has to offer, so get tickets while you can.

Saturday, November 29th

Event : Erick Morillo on The Terrace
Venue: Space Terrace

What to expect: Erick Morillo comes back to the legendary Space Terrace for his last performance of the year. Every time that this guy spins at the Terrace it’s a mad house, so there’s no telling how crazy it will be this weekend. Expect a lot of the pool party faces there.

Sunday, November 30

Event : David Guetta Afterhours
Venue: Space Terrace

What to expect: After mixing things up at LIV, Guetta packs up and heads over to the Space Terrace where the biggest crowd of the weekend is definitely expected. Whenever you have David Guetta and Erick Morillo in one place it’s sure to be a packed house.
