Nowadays opening up a nightclub is quite the risk. Not only are we in the thick of a depression, but the number of night-owls has decreased by a large margin. People are looking to save their pennies and are preparing for the worst. However, if you have a good concept in mind, and your location isn’t surrounded by too much competition, then you have one hell of a shot at a successful nightclub. Recently a new nightclub opened up shop in South Florida, but instead of being located that in hot spots like South Beach and downtown Miami, or even near the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, they decided to head north a bit more. Now, La Zen Nightclub hopes to create enough hype to have people drive up to Port St. Lucie more often.
When it comes to décor La Zen decided to go with a popular theme that can be found in many other nightclubs, the Asian theme. However, instead of the sexy deep dark colors that other clubs implement, La Zen opts for more of a vibrant and colorful vibe. Right off the bat they’ve started to pack the house with their signature sound system (pumping out 17,000 watts of sound every night the club is open), opting to go with house and dance music, rather than the usual hip-hop that can be found in Port St. Lucie. Now they’re slowly beginning to attract the attention of music fans and promoters alike in Miami, and we’ll all soon see a big name grace one of their flyers.

One of the best areas of their nightclub comes in the form of their VIP section, found on the 1,100 square foot mezzanine floor. The service is superb and you won’t be paying South Beach prices for a bottle in this club. But what goes great with a bottle on a night out? A great dance floor for dancing, and La Zen packs one of the biggest in South Florida, coming in at 2,000 square feet and being complimented by a lightshow that you gotta see to believe.
Although you may have not heard of La Zen just yet, we’re pretty sure that they’ll be one of the new hotspots in South Florida once they get a big name in behind the DJ booth.
