There’s no shortage of model agencies in Miami Beach, and more keep popping up every year. Despite the, ahem, “highly competitive” nature of our local fashion industry, optimistic entrepreneurs continue to take on well-established firms like Ford, MC2, and Irene Marie, hoping to find (or create) their own niche in this seemingly saturated market.
The latest agency to join the party is Alluring Faces, which announced its presence with a stylish soiree and runway show at the Chelsea Hotel. Hosted by owner Lisa Lee, the event proved to be a networking opportunity for models, agents, photographers, and stylists, as well as showcase of some of south Florida’s fiercest fashion designers.

After a suitable period of drinking and dancing, a path was cleared through the lobby of the hotel and out into the courtyard. A chunky house beat filled the room, and a procession of models began to strut down the impromptu runway, much to the delight of the fashionistas and somewhat confused tourists in attendance.
The response was immediate and intense: the crowd went wild. While conventional fashion shows can be stately, almost conservative affairs, the Alluring Faces launch was definitely a party. With sultry swimwear by Lekani and dazzling dresses by Azucar, the agency’s runway show was the highlight of the night.
