Dries Van Noten is the note worthy designer whose creative eye and mix of color, pattern and texture has placed him in a fashion league of his own. Every season he continues to stun by creating out-of-the-box bold collections. Spring 2009 was no exception. His pieces were covered in abstract patterns and draped fabrics with minimal lines. It was his accessories, however, that caught extra attention. Models walked the runway with gigantic, eye-catching jewelry made-up of spheres.

The spheres could be found on the neck, wrist and finger. Van Noten’s statement jewelry was easily the most coveted of the season. However, the average person would’ve had to admire from afar as the astronomical price for these pieces were just not affordable… until now! Forever21 has caught up with the craze that is “statement accessories”. They released a necklace and bracelet with uncanny resemblance to the pieces found at Dries Van Noten Spring 2009. While they are a season behind, this trend is far from over and we are seeing more and more of the bold necklace this Fall season ahead. You can find the Polished Globes Rope Necklace ($10.80) and the Mirrored Ball Bracelet ($5.80) online at Forever21.com or at their store nearest you.
