Let’s face it, when it comes to technology, the most popular item on the market since the summer of 2007 has been the iPhone. Even though similar gadgets are constantly being released trying to mimic the iPhone, there’s nothing like having that little apple on the back of your device. And with iPhones came plenty of accessories that, no matter what they were, flew off the shelves, putting yet a few more bills into Steve Jobs pockets. Bless that man! For this week, CoolJunkie’s caught on to what soon to be another accessory to be released that’s useful for both iPods and iPhones.
Soon iLuv will be releasing their latest gadget, now with the capability of charging both iPhones and fourth generation iPods. Although you may ask yourself, ‘Well what’s the use if I already have a Samsung?’ This is yet another strategic move by the company. Who likes looking at an empty possibility? This item is sure to get the iPhone stock rising even more. The dock has all of the expected features, speakers for both devices, FM radio. But what may be the catchiest characteristic of this gadget is that it receives weather text alerts from NOAA and SAME that will come straight through the preset radio channels. Who doesn’t need a weather report in Miami, where it’s sunny one minute, and the next you’re calling your insurance company for weather damage to your car. There is no set price for the item yet, but the expected release is March.
Pros:
- Charging your iPod and iPhone at the same time.
- Up to date weather alerts from the most reliable source in America.
- Released just in time for tax rebates.
Cons:
- Although there’s no set price, set guess this one at around $400.
- Not everyone owns an iPhone and an iPod…fourth generation at that.
- Basically a lazy excuse for those who don’t like charging their devices and flipping on the Weather Channel.
