Gen Art, the national arts and entertainment company that showcases emerging talent in fashion, film, music and the visual arts, and Perrier present SHOP MIAMI 2007 on Friday, June 15th. This one evening only New York City –style sample sale, which made its successful debut last year to a crowd of over 1,500 shoppers, is the sale of the season for those seeking cutting-edge designs at specially discounted prices.
The event will begin at 6 pm for VIP ticket holders and 7pm for General Admission. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop the freshest fashions from over 40 emerging designers and boutiques at the glamorous Moore Building located at 4040 NE 2nd Avenue in the Miami Design District.
The four hour shopping spree will delight both ladies and gents with cocktails, lavish spa pampering and sounds by DJ Keen One who will help the fashion savvy set stay in the groove throughout the night.
At 9 p.m., there will also be a special fashion presentation featuring looks from Shop Miami designers and the unveiling of the winning design from the $10,000 Perrier “Bubbling Under” Award competition. The Perrier “Bubbling Under” Award competition is open to emerging designers and fashion students in the United States and Canada who are required to submit a sketch-based presentation. Five finalists will be chosen from hundreds of submissions by a Selection Committee of top editors, buyers and stylists.
The finalists will then be reviewed and evaluated by a renowned Judging Panel of Gen Art appointed judges including Cynthia Rowley and John Bartlett, supermodel Liya Kebede and Elle’s Style Director, Isabel Dupre at the Gen Art Styles 2007 show in New York on May 22nd. The winning designer will then choose one of the sketches from their presentation to bring it to life, which will be unveiled at SHOP MIAMI.
SHOP MIAMI will feature the area’s most sought-after designers in womenswear, menswear, and accessories.
Joining Perrier as the presenting partner and official water for Gen Art’s Shop Miami, are principal partners Acura, Bailey’s, Miami Design District, Max Custom Media, 944 Magazine and JetBlue Airlines.

VIP Tickets include a one hour VIP private pre–sale, access to VIP Lounge with specialty drinks, and an elegant VIP gift bag full of goodies. $30 in advance/$40 at the door (in cash).
General Admission Tickets include access to the open bar and relaxing spa treatments. $10 in advance/$20 at the door (in cash).
