Miami Beach Art Photo Expo, South Florida’s newest organization for contemporary photography, announces its dates for the inaugural In Fashion ’07 exhibition – the nation’s first presentation of signature collections from the world’s leading fashion photographers. The unprecedented exhibition will take place at The Surfcomber Hotel, December 2 through December 9, during this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach.
In Fashion ’07 will feature an exclusive collection of more than 200 contemporary works of photographic art personally signed by 20 of the world’s leading icons in fashion photography.
Representing a total of 12 countries, including France, The United States, Germany, China, United Kingdom and Japan, some of the most globally esteemed names exhibiting their work will include: Thierry Mugler, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Serge Lutens, Steven Klein, Ellen Von Unwerth, Miles Aldridge, Elaine Constantine, Juan Gatti, Stéphane Sednaoui, David Seidner, Ali Mahdavi and Willy Vandereperre, among many others.
This prestigious group of international photographers has never before shown their collections together, under one roof, and the exhibition is considered to be the first of its kind in the country.
The historic Surfcomber Hotel (1717 Collins Avenue - Miami Beach, FL) will be completely transformed by Miami Beach Art Photo Expo. An elaborate 60-foot-high, 30,000-square-foot structure will cover the grounds of the property and pool area.
The aim of In Fashion ‘07 is to project a new look on fashion photography, by presenting strong and original images from upcoming talent along with images from the pioneers of fashion photography who are still considered today’s undisputed leaders.
Each signed photograph from the collection – the works individually valued between $5,000 and $30,000 -- will be available for purchase throughout the duration of the exhibit.
Entrance to In Fashion ’07 will cost $10 with no charge for under 18 year-olds and students. For further information, please visit www.artphotoexpo.com.
