Bullseye! - Keana Duffty Does Target
Target, which is pronounced Tar-jay around these parts, has been doing some incredible humanitarian work by offering some of the best young designers at very reasonable prices. First there was Luella Bartley, then Paul & Joe's, Go International line, and now one of our favorite alums here at Gen Art is getting some time to shine - Keanan Duffty.
Duffty is one of our favorite citizens of the UK sans Tony Blair (boy, is that man eloquent) and Mike Skinner of the Streets. Keanan Duffty is one of those musician-turned-designers, which shows in punk-inspired collections. Duffty's tough rock n' roll stylings having been seen on everyone from the Sex Pistols, to Sarah Jessica Parker and demi-god David Bowie. Plus, you've probably seen Duffty's work, since "Full Frontal Fashion" is constantly dropping his name and the Queer Eye guys can't get enough of him. Naturally, Duffty's men's collection for Target comes with the always-cool skinny tie, embroidered jeans, button downs with sharp graphics and a definitive British iconography. There are 18 pieces in this almost-cheap collection, but as per Tar-jay's ethos, these items look like you pulled them straight out of the Barney's Co-op.
Duffty's slightly-edgy wares will be available in select stores nationwide and at Target.com from July 15 through October 25, so boys... you better get a move on. If you miss the boat make sure to check out Keenan's website.
