I love jewelry and I can bet a few of you out there do too.

One designer that is new to the local line up is Amanda Patterson of Dex And Stella.

Right after college, she landed a job in an entry level position with an established jewelry company where within one month she was promoted to top sales rep, traveling around the country and then over to the design team, designing five collections a year.

After four years, this proved to be the best experience and she was ready to go on her own and start to create and this was the birth of Dex And Stella.

Her collections are chic and classy. Like her versatile necklace pearl strand that can be worn long with a knot, doubled around, or as a bracelet. The piece is made from freshwater grey pearls, nugget and peacock pearls on a silk thread.

Dex & Stella

But that’s not the only piece I like. The other is a three strand necklace that can be worn with just about anything. It’s a hand-knotted stands of Botswana agate and labradorite, each stone unique in color from deep orange to light grays and a perfect magnetic closure to make it easy to throw on.

Dex And Stella is mostly earthy colored stones in gray, orange, yellow, cream and green colored stones all picked by Amanda. She then turns takes these stones and makes gorgeous collectable pieces. Prices can go up to $250 for one of her pieces and that’s nothing for a one woman shop.

Perfect for the woman who likes it simple yet sophisticated. Dex And Stella will be at Gen Art’s Shop Miami on October 25 or you can just check her site and order at dexandstella.com.

A veteran Shop Miami jewelry designer is our local gal, Rochenne Sol Kogan. Her displays are something to watch at this bi-annual event. Her both is beautifully decorated which make her pieces more beautiful than what they already are.

A New Leaf

The Rochenne Sol jewelry line, grabbed my attention when I learned about the whimsical names she gives each piece. For instance, I am ready to get “A New Leaf” necklace for a friend who just started her new career as a pharmacist. It’s a grey agate curved leaf pendant, adorned with three tiny garnet stones on 14k gold-filled chain.

Then there is “My Former Life” bracelet that can be used for the same theme. Made out of vintage teal German beads with a small cornelian bead on a sterling silver clasp, this piece can bring a lot of talk at the next cocktail party.

This time around, Rochenne brings a new collection to Gen Art’s Shop Miami and you will have the chance to get your hands on something special. She uses different beads, bone, metals and medallions all hand picked and created by her. Prices available upon request. View her creations and shop on her site at rochennesol.com.

Hey, it’s almost my birthday, the holidays, some kind of anniversary and hey, why not….I deserve it! Girls, get me some beautiful beads, my wallet is ready.
