Ever since they were available for purchase way back in 1894, motorcycles have become a staple of ‘cool.’ They’re fast, they’re sleek, and women have this strange attraction to them (probably because every man who hops on one of these things is risking losing either A) a testicle, B) a limb, or C) their life). This mode of transportation has also been easy on the pockets when it comes to gas, but now that we’re in times of true environmental change, people are no longer looking to use less gas, they’re looking to use no gas. The good people at Brammo Enertia have developed a motorcycle that does not have to rely on gasoline.
The new Brammo Enertia electric bike is powered with 18 horsepower and can push a top speed of 55mph, just enough for you to jump on the highway, but not enough to take it onto I95, unless you like the sounds of cars honking. It only takes 3-hours to power up, and once it’s ready to go the power will last as much as a 45-mile ride. One of these bad boys can be yours for a mere $12k. Expensive?
Pros:
- No gas finally!
- Sleek and cool design.
- Charges completely in only 3-hours.
Cons:
- $12k for a motorcycle? For that you can buy a Smart car.
- If it’s a motorcycle and doesn’t go over 60mph, it’s officially un-cool.
- You can pretty much rule out long trips, considering the power lasts only for 45 miles.
