Ok, so I’ll be the first to say that I’m not a fan of the PC. Not a fan of the look, the way it operates, and just about everything else associated with it. Lately, many share the same sentiments that I do, mainly because of Apple’s genius marketing strategies, and the fact that you really can’t get a virus on a Mac. Well, Dell’s had something up their sleeves for quite sometime now, and they’re finally ready to release it.
Calling it the “world’s thinnest notebook,” the Dell Adamo (Adamo meaning “to fall in love” in Latin) has finally been revealed, primarily taking a stab at the MacBook Air. The design of it is extremely impressive, and they’ve managed to keep the bulk level down by adding in a built-in solid-state drive. It’s set to have a pretty expansive variety of accessories, but for now the colors that it will come in are limited to Onyx and Pearl. Frankly, their other laptops seemed to have gone off the deep-end when it comes to design, so two colors is enough for me. This is the first product for Dell under the Adamo brand, so it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with in the future.
Pros:
- Apparently the world’s thinnest laptop.
- A PC users dream and response to the MacBook Air
- Chassis milled from a single piece of aluminum.
Cons:
- Only a matter of time before you get a bug.
- A bit pricey with a starting cost at $1,999.
- Dell’s not known to have the best of laptops or desktops at that.
