This one's a bit out of left field for you all. 'SingleServeEspresso.com' a site reserved for all things coffee, recently leaked a little info from the Greener Gadgets Design Contest. With quite possibly one of the most original 'green' ideas around, someone developed a computer printer that uses spent coffee grounds as an ink source. No more going to Best Buy, Office Max or any other time-consuming and expensive trip, simply drop the spent coffee beans in "insert paper, and move the lever back and forth over the paper to make the image/text."
Right now it seems like a pretty great concept, but there are still plenty of questions to be answered and posed. Does this mean that we'll only have the option of 'brown' for color? Doesn't seem that attractive.
Pros:
- Great way to jump on the green band-wagon.
- Now you can put use into those spent coffee grounds.
- Cost-effective, no more trips to office supply stores.
Cons:
- Is the only option for color now brown?
- No price available for the gadget yet.
- How effective will this actually be?
