One of the deadliest plagues to hit students all across the nation is so severe, that sometimes it can never be cured. No, we’re not talking about mono, or any kind of flu from any animal, we’re talking about procrastination. Just when you think you’re gonna start working on that paper and finish it with enough time to party, you get lured away from your friends and thoughts of “I’ll do it later,” start filling up in your head. No matter how diligent you think you may be, procrastination hits when you least expect it. This week’s CoolJunkie Gadget Update features a little device that seems a little old school, but packs some modern technology that could help you get over that hump.
You know how married couples sometimes refer to each other as the “ol’ ball and chain,” referring to how they keep each other where they want to be, well, that’s exactly what this is, The Study Ball. Weighing in at 20.95 pounds, this funny gadget is made to help the procrastinators on track with their studying goals. There’s a set time on the shackle (which can’t be more than four hours) but once it’s up, then you’re free to go.
Pros:
- Helps do away with procrastination.
- Looks pretty damn hilarious.
- Relatively light, so in case there’s a fire, you should be able to run.
Cons:
- At $115 maybe it’s ok to procrastinate a little.
- Weighing 20lbs. is too little. It should be 50lbs.
- This could only stop you from moving, but will it really help procrastination?
