Gold Saturn is the little design engine that could and has. In the rare case you have not yet heard of this artist/designer, lets get you in the know.

David Jon Acosta is a very creative, local Miami designer. His line, simply named after his first car, is titled Gold Saturn. What started out as a collection filled with outstanding graphic tees, boasting “wild child” aesthetics, has now ventured on to tanks, v-necks, and floor length dresses. The line is rapidly evolving and growing, but stays true to its 100% Pinta Cotton fabrics from Peru and stand out, original graphics created by Acosta.

The rapid popularity and growth of Gold Saturn is the perfect example of word-of-mouth and self-promotion, not to mention hard work. Acosta started out promoting his designs with mini fashion shows in local clubs/lounges. His shows and look books are all produced by him and filled with gorgeous people, who happen to be his friends. Now Acosta’s credits boast NBC, Paper Magazine, Ocean Drive and Daily Candy. Not to mention well known faces such as Jeanine Mason on the show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and DJ Lazaro Casanova.

Gold Saturn’s latest line has taken on a more chic approach, introducing some French influence, but stays true to its youthful, effortless feel. Our favorite addition to this season is the Racerback Tank Dress; it is the perfect summer must-have. Guys, go and get yourselves any one of the V-neck tees.
