THREAD Takes Over Soho Studios This Weekend

It’s about time the Miami fashion scene took it to the next level. We might not be as trendy as LA and we’re defiantly not the fashion giant that’s New York, but we’re an ever growing, cultural melting pot of creativity and open minds. Thanks to the innovative initiative of Lara & Alex Matthews, the creators of this event, Miami is about to experience and share in the independent fashion event and runway show known as THREAD.
In support of the National Homeless Youth Awareness and Miami Artwalk, THREAD will take place on Saturday, November 8th at the Soho Studios in the Wyndwood District. THREAD is the fashion extravaganza that promises you access to the top 100 independent fashion designers and boutiques in Miami. These top designers will present their complete collections in the UNZIPPED Runway Show sponsored by Miami New Times and then sell their pieces at discount prices. Items will include both men’s and women’s wear, along with shoes, bags and accessories. This touring shopping event will also be visiting Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego.
THREAD isn’t just full of retail therapy it also supports both music and art. Base Lounge will be selling their stand-out books and magazines and Miami Modern Luxury presents its unique Art Experience at THREAD for ARTWALK. The After Show will include performances by Modernage, Black Jesus, Ryan Evans, and Johnny The Boy. Enjoy all of this while sipping on complimentary drinks courtesy of Asahi and Absolute. The event will have you know that early access before the masses, front row seats at the Unzipped fashion show and an exclusive gift bag can be all yours for the VIP price of $25.
