The week of showings for the winter 2004 was designer Tom Ford's last show for Gucci.
During the week over 60 of the best names in Italian design, including Armani, Versace, Prada, Jil Sander, Cavalli, Ferre and Fendi presented their take on next winter.
The 42-year-old American designer was with Gucci for 10 years.
The designer formally leaves Gucci later this spring, after an impasse in contract renewal with partner group PPR (Pinault, Printemps, Redoute).
Ford claims not to have any immediate plans. "I really don't," he reiterated after the show, but he has never made a secret of his fascination for film direction.
After the show he headed to Hollywood where he was putting the final touches to Best Actress winner Charlize Theron's Oscar night outfit.
