This week in fashion:
Being a huge fan of change, wigs are part of my arsenal. At the SNIP Salon (939 Lincoln Road) they have the same idea. Riley has a mini-collection of wigs which he’s developed for you who like an edgy look and color on your head without making a commitment.
If you want one custom made to your liking, visit SNIP and select the wig you want. They help you choose the color and you came make it as "natural" as Farah or have them color it to match the colors of the sky. Later on return for a fitting, a cut, and they set you up for a night out with your faux flocks.
All together it takes a week to do and the cost of each wig is about $200 and from the look and feel, it’s worth it. Honey, good hair doesn’t go cheap. Hurry – these hair changes are only available until the end of this month.
The Nomad Eye site flashed across my screen via email by a fellow fashionista who loves to shop online. This site is filled with independent designers and easy navigation and information for easy shopping.
I fell madly in love with Anna Dannon jewelry designer whose motto is, “wear something beautiful and unique and you will feel the same way” and I couldn’t agree more. Each timeless piece is made with 100% Peruvian silver. My favoarite: Purita Bracelet Gold. Another piece I fell in love with was the Surray Cardigan, which is hand made of 100% Baby Alpaca/Silk by designer Giuliana Testino.
Like Madonna and Kylie did for H&M, Sarah Jessica Parker joins the ever growing celeb-turned-designers. Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker’s line will be sold exclusively at Steve & Barry’s in Manhattan Mall and our girl SJP makes it easy for women to shop, have style and still have enough to pay their bills. Get Bitten June 7th.
After this weekend out on the town, I will be the first to say, I am over chipped nail polish. Ladies and gentleman, if you want to wear nail polish, and the key word is polish, try the whole nail. Chose a new color other than the obvious black or red and try white or my choice, yellow. Trust me; people notice it even in the dark corners of the club.
I bring this up because in one of my gift bags from last week, bottles of my favorite nail polish were added. Essie has a great product with polish that won’t chip right away. I’m obsessed with “naughty n’ nice”, “card-again” and “chic boutique”. You can find these and other colors at the Delano Hotel Salon and Spa.
This week in fashion and fashionable events:
Thursday, May 10 from 5 to 10 pm, “O’ What A Nite - Girls Night Out” might sound familiar, but this one is by Splurge Events and nothing to do with the one that was here a couple of weeks back. It will be held in Coral Gables at the Westin Colonnade. An evening filled with, what else, shopping and cocktails. There will be raffles, a wine bar, hors d’oeuvres, and music plus goody bags which I hope will have more than coupons. Vendors from LA, NY, and Florida will be in attendance.
Visit Spurgeevents.com to get tickets.
