THREE OF HEARTS

How does one describe the unusual relationship among Sam, Samantha, and Steven?

Marriage-a-trois? Monogamy, but with more than one person? Trinogomy?



In his early twenties, Sam Cagnina meets Steven, a handsome 19-year old college student, and they fall in love. Soon Sam, with charisma and energy to spare, gets an idea. “Hey, wouldn’t it be great to bring a woman into the relationship!?” Steven eventually agrees and they set out to find a woman with whom they could both fall in love and who would agree to live in a “trio” relationship. When they meet Samantha, a struggling actress in New York City, they know they have found that someone else special. Thus they begin their journey.



THREE OF HEARTS explores this unique family as they negotiate their living arrangements, have children, and open one of the hottest wellness centers in New York City. With amazingly candid discussions about love, sex, and partnership, the “trio” turns to the camera and reveals absolutely every aspect of their lives to both the audience and, eventually, to themselves.
