Soundtrack Pro or Bias Peak and one use them?

I'm looking to get a new audio editing program and I'm wondering which one to get between the 2. I use Peak LE 4.1 right now and I'm considering upgrading to Peak Pro 5. But I hear Soundtrack Pro is really good also. Plus it's a little more affordable..Any opinions?

This week they stopped selling individual apps from the Final Cut Studio package... so to get sound Track Pro you got to buy Final Cut Studio. :-\

I have both of the programs that you mentioned. But I stopped using my PC about 7 months ago. The apps that I'm asking about are the only 2 apps (for mac) that I know of.

Peak is really good. I liked Soundforge a lot but so I was skeptical about Peak until I used it and it's the shit! I only have the LE edition though...I want the Pro edition

I need them obviously for audio editing...

Just for the loops that came with it... I'm not into music. I have the new Final Cut Studio.

depending on the kind of editing you need to do .... check out audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/)... if you only need to do 'simple' things, this program rocks, and its free...

Yeah I have this also. You're right. It's a good app for simple things...

I use Wavelab on the PC, but that may soon be changing I hear Peak is really nice.

They need to make Wavelab for macs....yeah Peak is great especially it's playlist editor. You can chop up a song non-destructively and put the parts in a playlist in whatever order you like. You can remix songs in a flash...
