If you're going to blame somebody for this stupid law, don't forget that it was part of the "Violence Against Women and Department of Justice Reauthorization Act," which was passed in the House of Representatives by a roll call vote - 415 Ayes, 4 Nays, 14 Present/Not Voting. Or you can just keep blaming Bush for everything and ignoring the fact that this was a bi-partisan blunder - Maxine Waters was one of the co-sponsors. Here in south Florida, the bill was supported by (among others) Democrats like Alcee Hastings, Kendrick Meek, Robert Wexler, and Debbie Schultz.

Yeah, blame Bush. And let everybody else off the hook.
