USA Eliminated from WBC!

Yep.. Mexico defeated Team USA 2-1 on thursday eliminating the U.S from the World Baseball Classic.

wow. I actually wanted USA to stay alive. The classic would have received better media coverage...

Final 2 will be Korea and D.R.

I think this is good for the WBC. Next year Team USA will take this more seriously. Do you think that the USA want to get beat at anything? Especially their own game that they invented? LOL...

It also shows people here in the U.S that we're not the only country that loves baseball!

I think eventually what should happen is the team that wins our World Series should be the team to represent the U.S in the WBC.

Bad Idea because that team that wins the World Series is ususally made up of international players which represent their prospective countries.

Eventually what has to be done is that Team USA will have to practice more with each other just like Team USA Basketball is getting done, alot of these players were not ready for the classic, they thought they can just win with talent.

Hell the way I see it, if you earn millions of dollars off the people in this country from ticket sales and taxes so that you can play in a ballpark (etc..) and you win a world series ring in this country then you have to represent the U.S.A in the WBC.....None of this cross country alliegence B.S!

This will never happen...why? Because the owners are already complaining about the extra work that the players are getting playing in this...

When you pay $30 Million a year to a player, you want that player to be healthy, and especially for Pitchers, the more you throw, the more likely you are to get a injury during the season...

I totally agree with you about that. But now there's a contest that involves all the countries in the world who love baseball. Do you think that the U.S will want to be left out of that?

Perhaps they should have the WBC once every 2 or 3 years....Sometime in the middle of the off season.
