Caught On Video: Cat Survives 80-Foot Fall

I saw this on CNN and then I tossed my cat off my couch. She survived the 2 foot fall to the floor....

I can't get over how that cat hit the ground from such a height and hit the ground running. How the hell does a small animal cushion an impact like that without breaking bones? Terry, are you sure your cat doesn't have any underlying injuries from that fall off the couch?

Cats are one of the most resiliant aniimals. They can fall from high places, go weeks without food. For example I heard of a story of a cat who got inside a shipping container in China and more than a month later was found in the U.S when the boat got here. The cat ate nothing but card board from a box and it was in decent health when it arrived here the vet said that checked it out.

That is amazing. And yet they can sit all day long and do nothing but stare at the wall, and be content with life.

my dad use to check up on this elderly lady he knew back sometime in the 70's and she had like 10 cats - I guess my dad hadn't seen her around the neighborhood in a few weeks and she really didnt have much family so he decided to go see how she was...the stench coming from her house as you got close was insane he said and he called the police...they found her dead and her cats had started to eat her rotting flesh because they ran out of food and were trapped inside the house...ewwwww.
