$72.13. Up .82 cents from yesterdays close. And it's not even the end of Spring yet. There is no sign that this will slow down soon.

The damm president of Iran is saying that Crude oil is underpriced!

The US consumes more than 21 Million barrelss of oil a day and only produces 8 million barrels a day. Foriegn oil porducers supply the US with 60% of our oil.

2 of the top 10 exporters of oil to the US are stable countries. Being Canada and Mexico. The other 8 are very unstable and the events this year in that can take place in some of those countries can drive up the price of crude oil even higher!

dude, its on its way to $100............. :-\
and faster than u think.

Bush better ACT on all the talk about reducing oil dependency. And NO, the answer isn't drilling for oil in the arctic or off the FL coast; the answer is embracing alternative sources of fuel and developing the technology to apply these all across the board. -- Just like the president read off his State of the Union address --
Now we will have to pay the price on the path we've been treading.
China and India are grabbing all the oil they can get, so we have to secure what we need at any price. Simple economics of supply and demand.... limited supply vs. exponential growth of demand for a non-renewable resource.
This country needs to step up and set the pace for efficient, cost effective, cleaner fuel for the sake of our economy, our lives, our children. The change needs to happen NOW so we can feel effects 5-8-10 years from now.
If we dont do it, nobody else will.

Easy to say, i know. Specially when policy is dictated by Big-Oil interests... :-X

On the personal level, I need to get rid of my V6 and get a 4 cylinder car.. maybe a hybrid next year.... :P

You know this is all our own faults. We've known this was coming for years yet we really haven't done anything about it. I guess we all deserve to suffer at the pump and with all the economic effects that oil prices have on goods and services besides gasoline.

Who would have thought? Not like anyone I know predicted that the real threat was Iran and gas prices would continue to rise :. But then again some people on here at the time said I was wrong and brought up a bunch of articles that mind you were highly biased and incorrect (although guilty myself of some of this shamelessness, I can admit when I am wrong). But, hmm, I think I got that last laugh with this one seeing Iran as the real threat to the US and the rest of the world and the economy continuing to suffer due to oil pricess and an administration that just can't seem to tell the truth.
