Fat People and Red Meat Cause Pollution, Global Warming

Well, since it would appear that the war on tobacco users will soon come to a close, with Uncle Sam winning....pay attention, because now there's nobody left to harrass. Well, not exactly. The war on fat people will be in full swing soon enough!! The media is already blaming fat people and people who eat red meat for global warming and pollution....these fluffy-brained wine & cheese do-gooders want you to believe that what you eat is as important as what you drive. Mark my words, they will attempt to compare Big Mac's to SUV's....just read the second link below...as usual, I don't make this stuff up. Pretty soon, the government will control what you eat. It already decides what you can and can't do with your own body.....watch out people, don't say I didn't warn you...

Dude Fat people do cause more pollution. It's even more simple that the article implies. Think about it. Fat people eat more, thus they use more products which in turn produces more trash! Trash is a form of pollution right?

If you take 4 overweight/obese people and have them ride in an SUV and then take 4 people who are in shape and have them ride in the same SUV but the SUV with the fat people weighs 400 pounds more than the SUV with the thin and in shape group of people, won't the heavier SUV with the fat people in them burn more fuel? More fuel=more pollution!

Since fat people eat more dont they also take bigger shits thus casuing more pollution in the sewer system?

And another thing regarding factory farmed meat. Factory farmed meat casues a lot more pollution to produce than does meat that comes from a natural farm.

I find it disturbing that society can still degrade certain segments of the population and it be a generally accepted practice socially, even in the media. I find making statments such as "fat people cause more pollution" to be as equally offensive as "cripples cause more pollution".

Next, I suppose I'll need to hear about how black people cause healthcare expenses to rise because they eat more fried chicken per captia then their white counterparts. Sound ridiculous? Not really. Re-read the articles degrading fat people and substitute a race, religion, or handicap of your choice instead.....

I never thought I would find myself saying this but I agree with Shaun whole heartedly. I find it very disturbing. Stereotyping is stereotyping. Whether for race, color, gender, or body appearence. I find any form of it very disturbing.

I do agree. That's why the term "illegal aliens" disgusts me. Though, "fat people cause more pollution" is a significantly different statement than "cripples cause more polution", if you think about it.
