(yeah, i know... :P) apparently this Barton girl didnt learn anything from Shannon Doherty's move on 90210... her career went in the toilet and it took years to find legitimate work. she should have just sailed away to hawaii and left it open-ended. it was a good episode until that ridiculous crash. if they are going to drag out another 3 years of high school with some new kids, im done with the show.

(well, u don't have to recap the entire show, just recap the last cliffhanger at the end) [/quote] sorry, i have to give you a small recap to set it up: marissa gets a letter from her dad with a plane ticket inviting her to move to hawaii, apparently he is a boat captain and she can sail the world for a year. her younger sister kaitlin comes home for the graduation and says she is moving home permanently. marissa decides to accept the invite and put off going to school. the gang graduates and has one last day together. they hang out at the pool of the spec-house ryan burned down in season 1. they all reminisce and take a tear-jerking trip down memory lane. ryan drives her to the airport and they say how in spite of all the drama they are glad they hooked up, etc. then Volchek, the crazed-surfer who was banging marisa during her coke binge chases their car down and runs it off the road because hes jealous and loaded. we know this bc we see him take a rip off a flask as he is driving. car flips over, down a hill, lands upside down. ryan wakes up, takes marissa out right before it catches fire. she gives a few gasps, looks into his eyes and then kicks the bucket. roll credits. the end promo said next season will have "a few new faces in the OC..."

[/quote] Oh geezus! Glad I didn't watch it, in that case! Thanks for the recap. I don't think I'll bother w/ it next season. :-\ On a sidenote, I need to watch this week's episode of 24 & Lost. I missed them! But i've got 'em taped...
