"Sport"-Definition (as posted by JMT in the car racing thread) 1. an active diversion requiring physical exertion and competition 2. the occupation of athletes who compete for pay based on these two web definitons Pro Wrestling qualifies as a sport. Though labeled as Sports Entertainment because the results are fixed. I still consider it a sport because the athletes can legitimately get injured in the act of competition. Discuss..... oh and if u say pro Wrestling is bs then this guy will come after you.. ![]() "SO HAVE A NICE DAY...... BANG BANG!!!!" ;D

| CoolJunkie | it's more of a sport than poker or darts : ... i mean they are athletes. this is more debatable than auto racing. it's kind of hard to thin of it as a sport since it's all fixed but so is soccer, so there go's that argument ???

| HipJunkie | Pro Wrestling is basically a soap opera for guys. I'm surprised that Pro Wrestling doesn't have a big gay following. Considering that it's just a bunch of big, sweaty, greased up guys running around in tight-ass pants or speedos. |

| Well, I would say no....but that does not mean I am implying that wrestlers are not great athletes. Pro wrestlers are some of the most physically gifted human beings....strength, speed, etc. all wrapped up into one. Do they get hurt? Sure. Do unexpected things happen? You bet. However, a sport is where you compete and the outcome is uncertain. Each opponent tries to win. With wrestling, each match is staged, therefore disqualifying it from being labeled a sport.
