What the fuck is THAT all about?? Thats a crock of shit if you ask me. Since good ol dubya isn't gonna make money from the oil, he's gonna tax ethanol. Why am i even surprised?

i'm not a fan of wal mart but i think this would be a good idea to get a lot of ppl to jump on the ethanol bandwagon.

LOL...Jesus Christ, another blame Bush thread? Gasoline has been taxed for years! It's been going on since before we were born. The taxes recieved are used to pave roads, build highways, etc. If we make the jump to ethanol, where do you get the money to pave roads now? Don't just be like the rest of the sheep and "blame Bush" for everything....no matter what fuel source we switch to, there will be a federal tax, regardless of who's in the White House.

Ok then since i spoke without doing my homework....can someone find out for me what the tax is on gas vs. ethanol? I find it very interesting that they would use that as an excuse for not putting up more stations if it wasn't significantly higher than the tax on gas.

And i blame Bush for the majority of this country's problems right now. This is the first thread i've turned into a political one so get off my back. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

Pay attention. For the goverment to help promote Ethanol they pay the oil companies a fee for ever gallon they add into their gas, because the additive MTBE is outlawed in 50% of the states.

Nothing to do with Bush.

It's a subsidy, not a tax, and it goes to the ethanol producers, with the savings hopefully trickling down to the end-user.

It doesn't matter. It's an endless parade of self-manufactured outrage so whether Bush, the government, the Men in Black, or Ronald McDonald are to blame....Bush is to blame. Someone spelled your name wrong in the phone book? Blame Bush. There's a fly in your soup? Blame Bush. Fall asleep in your SUV after a hard night of drinking with Oni? Fuck it, blame Bush. ;D
