The guy being investigated might have had a case about being harassed by the media, but that went out the window when he hit the reporter.

I actually interviewed that reporter, John Mattes, years ago - back when he was an attorney in Miami. I only spent a few hours with him, but I remembered him instantly when I saw that video. He seemed like a decent guy (unlike other people I encountered while researching articles for SOF). Too bad he never picked up any self-defense skills from some of his former clients. I hope the district attorney throws the book at the couple that attacked him.
