Check my posts....I predicted this. As soon as the "smoking war" is over, there will be a "war on food". Who are you to tell me what I can and can't eat???? What next, institute a "draft" and force people into going to the gym???

LOL, so it's okay for the government to take away your freedoms in the name of safety, but not in the name of health? I mean, if the point of the government is to save American lives, then they can save a LOT more lives by banning fatty foods then by bombing Iraq to glass.

its not a bad idea. obesity is an epidemic in this county, and a collossol strain on health care. not to metion all the obese kids that our borne out of unhealthy eating habits. type2 diabetes is one of the most preventable illnesses in this country, but ironically one of biggest. the government cant shoulder all the responisiblity, but they can at least take measures to combat it. ultimately healthy eating habits should start at home, but most parents are living bad examples themselves. its a horrible cylce.

Keeping people out of the sun would save lives....skin cancer kills thousands every year. Should the government ban people from going to the beach?

Preventing people from driving would save lives. People die in car wrecks by the thousands. If government would make driving illegal, nobody would die in a car wreck and lives would be saved.

Forcing people into taking vitamins would reduce the chance of illness, and save lives. Since driving to a clinic is far too dangerous, perhaps the government should create a new agency where people go door-to-door forcing vitamins down people's throats. And for good measure, they should make sure everyone has a home gym.

My point is, it's MY body. If I want to eat shit, I should be allowed to eat shit. If you want to suck on roots, berries, and tofu, be my guest....as for me, pass the burgers!

So, it is okay for Americans to die, as long as they are doing it to themselves?

you can point people in the right direction but you can't make them do anything. if a 400lb person wants to eat fast food all the time then they should be able to.
