Amazing video...what diet coke and mentos can do when mixed together... there are several videos about this on youtube thought this was one of the neater ones 50 feet air & over the tree  8) 8)

| Re:So you like Diet Coke and Mentos? deff gonna do that sometime :P buy a few 2 liters and 12 pack of mentos! its not that hard to do what you see in the videos... from viewing a bunch of different videos...there are different techniques, some people actually chew the mentos till it creates what it looks like chewed up gum, others place an unchewed mentos in the bottle. from what i gathered: option 1 chew 1 mentons till it looks like gum place it under/inside the diet coke bottle cap firmly so it doesnt fall. place 2 unchewed mentos on it so it holds them together. tighten up the cap back onto the bottle firmly. shake the bottle up wait a few seconds till you see the "bottle going nuts" now - you can either throw the bottle on the ground and create a bottle rocket, where you slam the bottle to the ground and it will go flying somewhere, you can also throw the bottle in the air so it will give you time to get away from it. option 2 unchewed mentos take some tape, any tape, put 4-6 unchewed mentos on the tape firmly. you can also use a paperclip, just unfold the metal so it looks like a straight wire, put the mentos thru the metal and thru the cap, so when u put the mentos in the bottle, you are actually holding the other end that is going thru the cap, once u cap it, u will let go of the paperclip thus letting go of the mentos into the bottom of the bottle. place one side of the tape under the bottle cap firmly. put the mentos inside of the bottle taped to the cap. screw the cap on shake it up and open cap to create coke fountain be sure to do when the bottle is on the ground facing up they've also done this w/ dry ice and water in a 2 litter bottle...search for dry ice on youtube.com and you see all the crazy videos.
