Intel has promised EIGHTY core chips in the next five years. They're already spinning prototypes, nice to own your own fab... 80 cores on one chip. I can barely get my head around it.

Technology is just moving too fast... but I would at least like to be stuck with an 8 core Mac Pro instead of a 4 core. An 8 core has already been tested in the exsiting Mac Pro's just by upgrading the CPUs... works perfectly from what I read.
