So, if the evil Republicans were supposedly manipulating prices lower before the election like the Demz wanted you to believe, why would they still be maipulating them now after they lost? While this is good for the short run, it's bad for the long run, we need high prices to get innovation, but I think the damage is already done, GM will launch a plug in car in 2008 along with Honda, so it's coming and the Sheiks will have to cut back on their palaces!

I've been reading on that, a lot of hybrids will have a plug by the end of the decade. It's trivial to add that sort of thing in...there's a few modded Priuses (Prii?) out there.

I've seen the conversion kits, the main reason the Priui didn't have a plug in was because they thought people wouldn't buy them, but now the conversion guys proved them wrong so GM and Honda probably Toyota will roll them out, however only a large manufacturer can scale down the cost. The kit I saw on discovery was 12grand!!!! Fuck dat!

At any rate, soon oil will slide even further and we can tell the middle east to go fuck themselves. I think it's gonna happen sooner than later especially with the Dems in control.

Yeah, right now it's $12 grand for that Hymotion kit.

I think they'll stay high since in the future, most hybrids will be PHEV anyway.
