Is Borat to blame for the ex-Baywatch star Pamela Anderson's split from hubby-of-four-months Kid Rock?



So says the New York Post, which quotes a "friend" of Anderson stating that Rock, whose real name is Bob Richie, became furious after watching Sasha Baron Cohen's comedy, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.

In the film, Anderson plays a cameo role as the fictional Kazakhstani journalist's dream woman.

"[Universal Studio boss] Ron Meyer held a screening of Borat at his house for a bunch of people, including Pam and Bob," Anderson's mate told the New York Post.

"It was the first time Bob had seen the movie, and, well, he didn't like it."

"Bob started screaming at Pam, saying she had humiliated herself and telling her, 'You're nothing but a whore! You're a slut! How could you do that movie?' - in front of everyone. It was very embarrassing.

"Pam thought he could have a sense of humour about the movie. She was in on the gag from the very beginning and loved doing the movie. And on the eve of what was supposed to be a very positive thing, he made it an awful night.

The pal said their relationship "has been icicles between them" ever since the movie screening.

"Bob is just a very unhappy and angry man. Pam is very disenchanted and sad. You know, there are reasons why she never married him before. Those reasons disappeared while they were together on a boat in St Tropez, but she knows now that they never went away.

"The reality is he is an insecure, angry man."

Anderson yesterday confirmed the pair, who were married on a yacht in St Tropez, France, in July, had filed for divorce.

"Yes, it's true. Unfortunately impossible," she wrote on her website under a headline "Divorce".

The alleged Borat screening incident was not the only thing to go wrong for Anderson this month.

She suffered a much-publicised miscarriage and her pet chihuahua, Luca, went missing at Malibu beach.

She suspected the dog had been stolen.

"I need him back," she begged on her website.

The New York Post said Anderson left her house on Sunday so that Rock could pack up his belongings and leave. It said she took her two sons, Brandon and Dylan, with her.

"Pam is just very happy to not be in the same house with so much passive-aggressive hostility in it," her friend said.

This is sad for her to have no support from her husband. It just a movie made for fun to laugh at it. Is only a joke.
