I caught War of the Roses on TV recently, and this question came to me at the end of the film. I already know the answer, and it might be different from what you'd expect, but what do you think? Happy ending, or not?



My answer, and the justification for it, will come later.

SPOILER WARNING (i know its an old movie, but just warning you anyway).

ive seen it a few times. imo, its not a happy ending. douglas' character still loved her and it wasnt reciprocated, even while death was imminent. the fact that they both die isnt a happy ending in itself. it might be funny in a black comedy way, but its not happy.

Oh indeed, no doubt there. But then, like I said, my reasoning is different from what you'll expect. I'll PM you what Im thinking, so I dont affect anyone else's voting yet.

They really deserved each other. You know what they say till death us part, or something like that. Neither of the characters were likeable.

Alter your perspective. What was the movie really about? Think outside the box. My answer to this poll question is vastly different than the direction you're answering in. ;D
