So their plan is now to import food to fix the problem, but the last time I checked in order to import food, one must pay a mark up of that food which odds would have it would be more expensive than the gov controlled price.

The US can topple this guy by keeping oil prices low and buy up all the food in south Amierica in fact we should drop all import taxes on south american food except for Chavez's country.

They are welcome in the US government's book as well... along with Cubans, Colombians and Haitians, Venezuelans get automatic legal refugee status upon entering the US.

(if they have documentation proving they are seeking political asylum, that is)
