She just not ready to clean up yet, plain and simple. Recovery means having an open mind and the willingness to change. It requires more than signing your name on the dotted line to check into treatment. I'll admit, drugs and alcohol got the best of me too. People could have lectured me till they were blue in the face, but until i was ready to change, it wasn't going to happen. Hopefully she gets it sooner than later.

with all those bodyguards sounds like a hard feet. [/quote] She actually was here last week. My friend sold her a couple g's worth of clothes at Bebe in Aventura Mall last Tuesday night... then flew to Cali with her to hang for a few days. My friend was in the room when her mom and manager wisked her off to rehab in Antigua. I didn't believe my friend either til she showed me the non-disclosure agreement she had to sign and played me several voicemails from her co-workers telling her that news reporters were at the store looking for her and a voicemail from Britney apologizing for the abrupt ending to the visit.

| This is true. You have to want to recover/break off from whatever substance holds you down, be it coke, K, pills, booze, or whatever. She's simply not at that point yet in her life. It's a vicious cycle though, she's stressed from the media covering her antics (one local pap I know says 'she's paying someone's mortgage right now'), and her only way of coping with the stress is through excessive partying and substance abuse. Now I'm not saying that she should just do it until she's dead, that would be sad, but at this point, the best her staff and friends could do is watch and make sure she doesn't do any serious damage to herself. Her hair will grow back and she can work off the excess flab, that's not serious damage. They have to watch out for her getting into a car, etc... I've dealt with people like this before. I used to think that through being persistent, you could get them off whatever their demon was, but in the end, they have to want to do it, and the best you can do is just watch and make sure they don't permanently self-destruct. You can nag all you want, but unless they want to, they won't get off whatever ills them. I hope she has friends that care at this point.
